Plymouth-Canton Montessori School will follow the lead of Plymouth-Canton Community Schools for snow days only. PCMS will hold classes if or when closure by Plymouth-Canton Community Schools does not seem relevant to our facility and student body (i.e. high winds, extreme cold, etc.). Except in the most extreme weather situations, day care and latchkey will be available. The decision to come to school should be made at the discretion of the parent. Weather conditions vary from city to city.
The following describes how school closings will be communicated. Keep in mind that the decision to close the school is made between 5 and 5:30 a.m. This allows time to contact television and radio stations and our staff. We will make every effort to keep day care and latchkey open as long as weather conditions allow.
PCMS will announce school closings no later than 6:30 a.m. on our website, www.pcmontessori.org, on the school answering machine, Channels 2, 4 and 7, WWJ TV, CW50, and on radio stations WWJ 950 and WJR 760. However, due to space limitations, the TV channels cannot indicate whether or not day care and latchkey will be open.
We will send an email to make you aware of the details should we have a snow day at Plymouth-Canton Montessori School.
IMPORTANT: if you see on television or hear on the radio that the school is closed and you are in need of day care or latchkey services, please check our website at www.pcmontessori.org, or check your email for the latest update.
Call the school (734-459-1550) and listen to the answering machine message.
If you have any questions about our school closing procedures, please feel free to contact the office.
We look forward to a safe winter at Plymouth-Canton Montessori School.BACK TO TOP
